Oddly enough, seems that knowing me through friends of friends and seeing me once or twice a year is enough reason to friend me.

*shrug*

I'm still working on the theory that to be friends someone should have been invited or have invited me over to a home for dinner. Crazy, I know.

I was always surprised that public consensus settled on the emotionally-loaded term "friends" to represent someone's online contacts. It lends a false sense of personal investment in the term.
