I AM MOJO JOJO
Oct. 2nd, 2006 12:30 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Couple of friends, acquaintances, random people I've run across have recently had good mojo with the new job hunt. Hopefully I'm up next, had a great week as far as recruiters and HR contacts last week. This week will hopefully be the one to see all of that pan out.
And just because I didn't update on Friday I'll throw in a couple of links, because honestly... no one cares about me. Just like I don't care about the millions of fools currently blogging about what kind of sandwich they are packing for lunch tomorrow.

“BER-WYN?!?”

Complete with lots of Youtube video clips.
"Yes, it’s time for "Son of Svengoolie". Let the rubber chickens fly."
Already sent this out to Benchilada, figure the rest of you might be interested.

"Borrowing is awkward because people forget.
The Friends page tells you the money and things you need to collect and return. There is an overall summary at the top, and below that is a break-down by each friend. For example, Bob owes you two books and you owe Bob $30.50. "
History fun:
Maps of War
http://www.mapsofwar.com/ind/imperial-history.html
"Who has controlled the Middle East over the course of history? Pretty much everyone. Egyptians, Turks, Jews, Romans, Arabs, Greeks, Persians, Europeans...the list goes on. Who will control the Middle East today? That is a much bigger question."
And while we're on maps:
U.S. Historical City Maps
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/historic_us_cities.html
Curious what your town looked like a hundred years ago? Cleveland, Washington D.C., and on and on...
This was made by someone without children, or without the mind of a child.
Squid Soap
http://www.squidsoap.com/
So you see, there is this ink ring on the top of the soap dispenser... so the child pushes down on the dispenser and the soap comes out on one hand and the other hand gets and ink ring on it. They are supposed to wash their hands until the ink comes off. Brilliant isn't it? Until to realize the kids will be constantly pushing the squid (don't blame me if that sounded dirty) just to play with the ink ring.
Small Hands, smell like cabbage

"When carnivals roll into Illinois cities and towns, the companies running them might be bringing more than bright lights, wild rides, cotton candy and games. They also can bring trouble in the form of workers with dangerous criminal histories, including armed robbers, drug dealers and sex offenders."

Date: 2006-10-02 07:34 am (UTC)The Bill Monk site looks intruiging as well, as I seem to have a severe problem with lending stuff myself. Thanks for the link.
Good luck with your HR experiences this week. I've got an interview myself today, so hopefully we're both next in line somewhere!
