Credit Report Checking Time!
Mar. 1st, 2005 06:25 pmMarch 1st - time for the midwest to request their free credit reports!
Just checked mine with Equifax (saving the other 2 free checks for later this year to see how things change) and found that as a 8 year old I somehow had a credit card.
... no I'm not kidding. There is a credit card account attributed to my name that was opened when I was 8. I think it's just a mix up with my parents since it's a joint account and with a bank they used to be with. But come on, my dad and I share the same first initial. Not even a whole name, just one letter, it shouldn't be to hard to figure out we are different people. That is assuming that you miss the fact that I WAS EIGHT!
idiots.
Anyway, go check your report now. Better than waiting to buy a car or house to find out something is wrong.

And follow that to www.annualcreditreport.com
Because you wouldn't trust a link in a random livejournal would you? Right, on you go.
