"Hi my name is Bob* with Robert Half Technology, I saw your information online and I'm wondering if you are still looking for a position."
ME: Yes I am still looking at opportunities.
"Well then, are you willing to work in the suburbs?"
ME: Depending on the position, yes. What area are we talking about?
"It would be in the area of *suburb1 and *suburb2. Would you be interested in contract and contract to hire?"
ME: Again, depending on the position available I could consider that.
"How much are you looking to make?"
ME: Again, it depends on what the job is, how about we stop playing 20 questions and you just let me know if you have something available?
"How about I call you back?"
ME: No, don't call me back. If you want to talk about a job let's talk. Don't play this game with me ....
"I'm not playing the game, you're the one playing the ...."
ME: Tell you what, have a nice holiday, a wonderful weekend, and don't call back. [hang up]
...*sigh*
Even if I am out of work my patience for the stupidity of recruiters is at an all time low. Just for a little background, I get calls for PC repair work and I get calls for Network Administration, add to that that some of the positions I apply for are Network Engineer roles and we're talking a 40k difference in yearly income depending on what they heck the job is. So f-ing spit it out and stop dorking around.
