*sigh*

Sherlock Holmes movies should never look like they have been directed by Michael Bay.

Never ever ever ever ever.....

You took the exact same thought from out of my skull.

It's Guy Ritchie, not Michael Bay. Not sure if that's better or worse.

Interesting stuff on the movie pitch: http://blog.newsarama.com/2009/05/07/sherlock-holmes-mystery-solved/

Dear God, I don’t think the person that drew that ever even laid a finger on a Sherlock Holmes book. If I was Arthur Conan Doyle, I’d be freaked out. If I was Sherlock Holmes, I’d be very disturbed. Since I’m me, I’m just….sick. XD
Heck, it matches the theme of the new movie VERY nicely: go as far away from Sherlock Holmes as you can go, but still put his name on it for no reason at all.
Bunch of unlearned idiots."

It looks very entertaining, vaguely steampunkish, but not Sherlock Holmes.

I have to agree

And if MARCON is anything to go by steampunk is very big at the moment.
I'll still go see it.
